An open letter from the President


As I’m sure you’re painfully aware, raising funds is a never-ending battle.  Fundraising efforts take up a lot of your time — time better served attending to your nonprofit’s purpose.

My name is John Giaimo and I am the President of PinRaise, a company dedicated to helping nonprofits. I am reaching out to nonprofits in the community to invite them to join the PinRaise “Agent with Heart & Business with Heartheart pin” programs.

The PinRaise fundraising program is designed exclusively for nonprofits of any size so they may generate a continuous revenue stream with no out of pocket expense or risk.

In many schools and youth sports clubs, a commonly used fundraising practice is to ask their members to have a meal at a specific restaurant on a certain date and to bring in a flyer. In turn, the restaurant donates a portion of the proceeds to the organization.

This is exactly what the PinRaise mobile app will do! We are working to grow a network of local real estate professionals and businesses called an Agent with Heartheart pin & Business with Heartheart pinthat are willing to donate a portion of their commission our your member’s transaction back to you.

Your members do not pay any fees. In many cases, participating Agents and businesses offer PinRaise customers special offers not available to the general public. .

Our service is paid for by local Businesses and Agent membership. Your organization will only be required to pay a minimal processing fee that will come out of the monies generated (to cover expenses such as credit card fees), so there are no out-of-pocket expenses or contracts. However, for the program to be effective, you do need to promote it to your members to get them to do business with our network as often as they can. We are happy to provide customized banner ads and handout materials upon request.

This is a win-win… businesses enjoy new and recurring customers, and you participate in a passive way to fundraise!

Q & A:

How often do we receive payment? Monies are deposited by the 10th of each month for donations received the preceding month.

How is Payment made? Donations are deposited directly to your bank account through PayPal or if desired, we will forward a check.

Can I monitor what is happening? Yes, you will receive a login to the PinRaise nonprofit online dashboard to view various daily and monthly reports. You will also have a means to email your members to remind them to get out and buy!

How much will the processing fee be? Processing fee is 10%. If there are no donations generated, there will be no charge.

How much is each donation? This is determined by the business; as an example, we recommend a sandwich restaurant give a minimum of $.50 for lunch and $1-2.00 for dinner. Their donation is promoted on the PinRaise app so the user will be able to see prior to making a purchase. Other types of businesses such as a car wash may donate $2.00 per wash. Some car dealerships have said they may offer $100-$300!

Does PinRaise offer any form of support?  Absolutely, a customer service representative will be assigned to your account to ensure that you have all that you need to communicate and educate your members.

Will PinRaise provide a list of participating businesses? Yes, In addition to the mobile app, the PinRaise website will list all businesses.

I do not see my favorite restaurant? Many nonprofit members frequent various businesses and may wish to introduce them to the PinRaise Business with Heart program. You may nominate any business on www.PinRaise.com. A nomination is not a commitment to participate. Contact will be made with an introductory email and a request for a 10 minute introductory phone call. Should the business have an interest, staff will register their firm and add them to the PinRaise network. Should they decline; no additional communications will be made.
